This information may include your name, email address, and billing information (processed by Dodo Payments).

Monitoring Data

As part of providing the service, we collect and store data generated by your cron jobs and scheduled tasks:

  • Heartbeat configurations — monitor name, schedule (interval or cron expression), timezone, grace period, alert rules, and tags
  • Ping logs — for each inbound ping we record: timestamp, type (success / start / fail / log), IP address of the pinging server, user agent string, exit code, run ID, and optional request body (POST body, truncated to 100 KB)
  • Status history — status transitions (up → down → recovered) and the reasons for each change
  • Alert history — log of every notification sent, including channel (email, Slack, Discord, webhook) and delivery status
  • Integration configurations — webhook URLs and API tokens you provide for third-party alert channels

Ping logs are retained for 30 days on the Free plan, 60 days on Basic and above. You can delete individual heartbeats or your entire account at any time.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information:

  • Analytics: We use Umami, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool. Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. It only records anonymized page views and referrer data to help us understand overall usage patterns.
  • Log information: Server logs may include your IP address, browser type, and pages accessed, used for security and operational purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Cronping monitoring service
  • Detect missed pings and send timely alerts to you and your team
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Send technical notices, account updates, and support messages

  • Detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access

Information Sharing

  • Dodo Payments: We use Dodo Payments to process subscriptions and payments. Your payment details are handled directly by Dodo Payments and are not stored on our servers. Please refer to Dodo Payments' Privacy Policy for details.
  • Email delivery: We use a transactional email provider to send alert notifications and account emails on your behalf.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose information if required to comply with applicable laws or legal processes.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information with your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data Retention

  • Account data (name, email): retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 30 days of account closure
  • Ping history: retained according to your plan (30 days on Free, 60 days on Basic+)
  • Billing records: retained as required by applicable accounting and tax regulations
