Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Cronping. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Cronping, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using our services.
Description of Service
Cronping is a cron job monitoring and uptime alert service. We provide infrastructure that allows you to:
- Create heartbeat monitors — unique ping endpoints that your scheduled tasks (cron jobs, scripts, CI pipelines) call to signal successful execution
- Receive alerts via email or third-party integrations (Slack, Discord, webhooks, etc.) when a scheduled task stops reporting in
- View ping history, status timelines, and availability reports for your monitors
Use of Services
Account Registration
To access Cronping, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly update any changes to your information
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account and any organizations you manage
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Cronping to monitor services intended for unlawful purposes
- Flood or abuse ping endpoints in a manner that disrupts our infrastructure (e.g., sending pings at a rate far exceeding your configured monitor interval)
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' monitors or our systems
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Use automated systems to probe or enumerate ping tokens belonging to other users
Your Data
You retain ownership of all data you submit to Cronping, including heartbeat configurations, ping bodies, and integration credentials. By using our services, you grant us a limited license to store and process this data solely for the purpose of providing the service.
We store the following data on your behalf:
- Heartbeat monitor configurations (name, schedule, grace period, alert rules)
- Ping logs — including timestamp, IP address of the pinging server, user agent, exit code, run ID, and optional request body (truncated to 100 KB)
- Alert and notification history
- Integration configurations (webhook URLs, API tokens for third-party channels)
Ping history is retained according to your plan limits (30 days on Free, 60 days on Basic and above). You may delete your data at any time from the dashboard or by closing your account.

No SLA — Monitoring Service Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: Cronping itself may experience outages, delays, or failures. We do not guarantee that alerts will be delivered within any specific timeframe, or at all. You should not rely solely on Cronping for mission-critical alerting without additional redundancy. We are not liable for any losses arising from missed or delayed alerts caused by downtime of our own infrastructure.

Upon termination:
- Your right to use our services will immediately cease
- We may delete your account, heartbeat monitors, ping history, and any associated data
